How to prepare a leather product brief

A useful product brief answers four questions: what is the product, who will use it, how many are required and where will the order be delivered?

Start with the product

Include reference images, overall dimensions, intended use and required compartments. Identify which details are essential and which are open for discussion.

Specify the materials and branding

State your preferred leather type, colour, lining, stitching, hardware and logo placement. If you have not selected them, describe the finish and feel you want to achieve.

Include the commercial requirements

Provide the requested quantity, destination, target delivery window and packaging needs. Sampling, pricing and lead time should be confirmed against the agreed specification.

LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR ORDER

Tell us what
